Highlights

Reach me at a starting point just 45 minutes by car, at an e-bike rental place just outside of Lucca. Parking for your car is available and free for the whole day. My colleagues and I will set all e-bikes and instruct you on their use before departing. Helms will be provided, and they must obligatorily put on. The first part of the ride is in the direction of Lucca downtown, where you can enjoy visiting the city center with its beautiful churches and squares. The town is mainly and area of restricted traffic, safe and easy for riding. You can decide to stop any moment and dedicate some of your time to do shopping in town. Here are some good opportunities for a good gelato (not included in the offer). An important aspect of the ride in town is on top of the city fortifications of Lucca, a stunning 4.5-km ring of huge walled banks and bastions surrounding the town in full. The walls are like an elevated urban park, particularly safe and enjoyable for e-biking. Many opportunities for fantastic pictures. The ride continues along the Serchio river park, another extended green area, only dedicated to bike riders and joggers. After some nice exercise, we can enjoy a great al fresco lunch right in the middle of a panoramic vineyard. A full meal will be served right by the vine rows, with great wines included. After lunch, the ride continues in a hilly area in the surroundings of Lucca with stunning views. The area is spotted by sumptuous historical villas, hidden in spectacular gardens. ITINERARY: - Drive to e-bike rental's place (45 minutes) - Preparation of e-bikes and short introduction (30 minutes) - Ride to Lucca and many stops in town (2.5 hours) - Ride along the river to vineyard (1 hour) - Stop for lunch (1 hour) - Return to e-bike rental's place (30 minutes) - Drive back to Borgo alle Vigne (45 minutes)
