Full-day tour to an organic cheese farm and a winery, in & around San Gimignano, also known as the "Manhattan of the Middle Ages"

Highlights

The day starts with an introduction to the rural Tuscany right before your departure from Borgo alle Vigne. The first stop of the day is at an organic cheese farm on a hilltop that separates two valleys, with enchanting views on both sides. The farm produces excellent cheeses, extra virgin olive oil, grains, vegetables and honey. You will learn about all such productions visiting their premises and sheds. The visit ends with a delicious lunch based on their produce: a selection of the best cheeses, a main course (soup, pasta or a grain salad with vegetables), a fresh seasonal salad, crackers, yoghurt, jams, honey, ricotta mousse, fruit juice & herbal infusions. The day continues with a pleasant walk in San Gimignano with a stop at the best gelato parlour in town. Tasting of gelato included. The afternoon is dedicated to wines. You will visit a stunning winery in the hills of San Gimignano and learn about the traditional local Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG. You will finally enjoy a delicious wine tasting session in a panoramic patio overlooking the town, where you can enjoy three wines with little snacks. - Drive to an organic farm on the hills of San Gimignano (45 minutes) - Visit to the farm, lunch with tasting of cheese and many products (2 hours) - Drive to San Gimignano (10 minutes) - Walk in San Gimignano and tasting of world-renowned gelato (1 hour) - Drive to winery with view over San Gimignano (20 minutes) - Visit to winery and wine tasting (1,5 hours) - Drive back to Borgo alle Vigne (45 minutes)
