San Gimignano is a small medieval hill town in Tuscany, famous for its striking skyline of stone towers that earned it the nickname “The Manhattan of the Middle Ages.” The town still preserves its medieval walls, narrow cobbled streets, frescoed churches, and historic squares. Today, it’s known for its beautifully preserved architecture, panoramic countryside views, and the local white wine Vernaccia di San Gimignano. Walking through its compact center feels like stepping back in time, with artisan shops, gelato shops, and dramatic views over rolling Tuscan hills. You will have around one hour and a half to explore it. During the day, you will visit two different wineries and enjoy some good wines from the area. You will have the chance to visit ancient wine cellars and get information about the winemaking process and the Italian wine regulation. There will be a unique wine tasting, combining good wine to delicious local products in Tuscany. A light lunch is included in one of the wineries.
